I was very pleased when Google changed its Google Docs service to a more generic cloud computing service and named it Google Drive instead of Google Cloud. I never really understood why cloud computing is called such, because a cloud is an extremely ephemeral, fickle substance. Why would anyone want to name an online storage system after a cloud?
Besides, cloud computing, at the end of the day, is still a collection of physical servers, which is why I really like the name “Google Drive.”
