Jenny Holzer is one very very busy lady.
A political art activist (if there is such a term), she was quick to use digital technology in expressing text. Although she did use analog medium such as printed posters, stickers, and canvas, she started using LED signs in the mid 1990s and the Internet to express her political beliefs or to present political issues to the public.
Being a conceptual artist, one may argue that her art really isn’t art at all, but conceptual art seems to be the growing trend these days. Before you know it, the next generation will be looking at art that was physically assembled in third world countries.
