Downtown Atlanta is dominated by the architecture of John Portman. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to check out all the beautiful hotel lobbies except for the Hyatt, which is where our conference was held. The Hyatt is apparently the first hotel that had an atrium, which influenced subsequent hotel design. This picture is of Americas Mart Building 3:
