I thought it was weird that I feel a strong physical attraction to super smart men- my heart starts racing, I can barely breathe and my knees get weak. It just seems strange because shouldn’t that kind of attraction be intellectual instead of physical? I enjoy looking at good-looking men but I’ve never actually met a good-looking guy that made me swoon.  After reading this article, however, I realized that I am perfectly normal. Mark Prokosch of Elon University in North Carolina says:

Finding an intelligent and creative mate matters, because smart guys may contribute better genes and themselves be better providers for children

So my hormonal reactions were simply the natural biological traits of a normal, fertile human being seeking better means of survival for herself and future offspring. I love it when science backs me up.
